Hi mark , if theses head cylinder are in very good condition and not surfacing i'm interrested by your offer.

Do you know the kilometers of these head cylinder ?

I'll be interested too with the coil ignition pack (6) and 2 or 3 injectors stock (1990-91) and 6 seal injectors if you have ( good condition).

Thank you Mark for your answer .

Hi Mark .

I work in Morocco since 5 years and i have take your used head cylinders to my father in France in August.

Today (in morocco) i go to the specialist to clean the 2 heads cylinders but there is a big problem.

Your heads cylinder are distorted about 0.2 mm (the same default for each head cylinder).

i've seen that the maximum for a nissan 300zx TT is 0.1 mm to surface it.

Then what will you do to help me in that situation ?

Thank you to answer me Mark.

Regards.

ps: sorry for my English

Hi there Im Not sure what the Problem is your having ...

i supplied your self with Heads that have not been Skimmed (no resurfacing ) as you put it as any Used head or Head that has been taken off the engine

would need the head to be skimmed Flat I'm quite surprised that your engine builder was going to Fit the heads with out doing this. Hence the 0.1>0.2mm Difference across the head is quite Normal.

your solution for the Heads is to have them skimmed at an Engineers firm. Stock thickness head gaskets will be fine with the amount that will take off to make them Flat

Mark

ps i have emailed you as well

That's my uptake too Mark!

Had a head skimmed on blown head gasket before! It's the norm!

Jose I would check what ur engineer/mechanic means? Cleaning is different to skimming!!!

I'm disapointed .

No help to find the correct head gasket with 0.2 mm more , nothing ...

I'm not sure what the problem is .. any used head will be slightly distorted it's the nature of the design .. all that's needed is the heads skimming .. this is a normal procedure when you rebuild an engine .. "you never rebuild an engine with out skimming the head or heads"

In your original post you asked for heads that have not been resurfaced *( skimmed )*

This is what I have supplied you*

Mark*

Yes 0.2mm is Aprox 7thou stock head gaskets are good up to 10thou anything behond that will req thicker gaskets

The only way your not going to have heads that are not distorted and not been skimmed is to buy brand new

Then going by this information I would have to agree with you Mark.

My understanding is that you've done nothing wrong with what you supplied Mark, he asked for Heads that hadn't been skimmed/ refinnished. I presumed that he wanted them for his mechanic to get skimmed himself, as stated ALL Heads need to be skimmed when refitting, what's the problem, he got an untouched, used set of heads. That's what he asked for, it's up to his mechanic to get them fitted with the appropriate skim and gaskets.

All sorted now .. looks like his mechanic was telling him heads was no good for his gaskets ...and the Nissan tech sheet was 0.1mm for heads thats been remove before skimming could be reused

All is happy now :)
