Ok, with soooooo many of you into I.T. I wonder if someone would shed some light on this:-

 

When I am on the 'net and click on a link, say for instance to jump forums, and bugger all happens for ages who's fault is that? Is it the server the forum is located on, or is it my poxy ISP (btinternet)

 

It's so frustrating just sitting there waiting for the screen to change, or for some flicker of light on those two little PC symbols by the clock!

Does it happen all the time no matter what site you are on?

 

When you say nothing happens, do you mean you have to wait a long time before the site starts to load?

 

When I first got Blueyonder, it was great for about 2 months then went terrible. I had to click on a link about 10 times before it did anything. That was my ISP, but it has got a lot better now works perfect.

 

 

Saying that its happening to me sometimes. Click on a link and nothing happens at all.

Yeah, it happens most of the time. Sometimes the link or 'jump' works immediately, other times (most of the time) it just hangs there for ages.

 

Doesn't matter what site it is, Yahoo, Btopenworld, 300zx.co.uk etc. they all do it.

 

Occasionally, if I press the link button a few times it will start to work, but I don't know if this is just co-incidence and that it would have connected if I had left it alone.

 

Really frustrating if you want quick access to web based e-mail coz it contains info you want to discuss during a phone conversation!

 

As I always said (even during the dot-com boom) the internet will NEVER be as vital as every IT bod would have us believe, until access is faster.
