Took a vid of the engine which you may be able to hear the noise which could be a bearing or something or do these engines suffer from dry tapets? cars not done many miles in the last year and I haven't had time to drive it any where. not one for taking vids on phones or I pads as makes it sound worse lol.

Thoughts so mate, the guy changed oil before I bought it will ask him what he used buddy. The noise to me is more bearing maybe from a pump or alternator can you hear it? Will take belt off when I get chance and start it up see if noise stops lol

Anybody else got any ideas on the noise? what it could be that's if you can hear what iam on about in the vid lol just used I pad :)

Sounds like it's missing, have you checked for spark and injector performance... I cant hear any bearing issues though!

I suffer now and again. Like the other week. I moved house from Andover to Tamworth, a decent run then left it for two weeks. I then suffered a lifter stuck due to oil drain. But usually you will get a misfire and tapping. Not bad but you can hear it. I warmed it up, left it , went back the next weekend and now all ok again. They don't like standing.
