I'm afraid she doesn't camp buddy,and sometimes when I see people at the events crawl out of there tents after a heavy nights rain i don't blame her...lol,but yes been on Google Earth and there is a premier inn close by so we'll slum it there:)

ah ye, blame it on her indoors, although I kinda agree, I love camping but there is something to be said for a nice hot shower and your hair straightener, just out of curiosity, how far away is the hotel?

The hotel looks just round the corner tulip,so could walk there in a few minutes,not like our 50mins walk at the lakes..lol

I've already booked into the premier inn few months ago, but also bringing the tent aswell incase I change ma mind. Hotel is only a 5min walk from the site.

sorry mate but the Premier Inn at Newark is another 50 minutes walk from the showground (unless you walk quickly) It's also a question of crossing the A1/A46 interchange if you are on foot not a pleasant prospect. One or perhaps 2 advantages is that it's next to a reasonable pub grub place and a MCDonalds. To my way of thinking it's a car ride not a walk.

This modern budget hotel off the A1 and A46 roads is a 5-minute drive from Newark-on-Trent town centre, 6 minutes from Newark Showground and Golf Centre and 23 miles from Nottingham.
