Ive been looking at getting a quadcopter with a camera just for fun.

 

Seen this one which is controlled by your phone but its battery life is only 8mins.

Has anyone got one / anything similar or know much about them?

Yes i bought a large quad copter with camera at the NEC car show for £90 and Lee got a smaller one, seen it demo'd and looked great so got one for my eldest, with the idea that im going to have a play too lol

I got a Hubsan 4 with camera from Maplin for £49.99......... For my 6 year old son......... honest...... lol

Syma x5c are about 45 quid full hd camera and really really easy to fly.. I'm a rc freak so trust me when I say you won't get better for the budget

Have many of you used these? And any videos showing the quality of the cameras etc?

I had a go and it took some getting used to and i would recommend an open space to try it out for the first time, it ended up over a neighbours fence the first time and nearly on the roof of a house, till i got used to the controls. Tried filming a few runs and came out really good quality, but have since deleted them off the card, so maybe next time. I got the pathfinder v1 and eats the battery time to about 15 mins, may have to get a larger battery lol
