Was on here about a year ago looking - ended up buying an R33 - scratched that itch, now back here...amongst other places ;)

 

I am open to the following:

 

NA or TT

Targa Top only

Avoiding series 1s

Import or UK is fine

Manuals only please

SWB or LWB

Not silver

 

In terms of budget, not looking to go crazy (for instance Vipers purple was out of reach of what I am looking to pay).

Yes Art, you got a nice car when you imported yours (feel free to post up your pictures, again) I looked at a number of 300zx's and none were in the condition I wanted them to be, I dont have a drive/garage so the option of leaving it there and working on a fixer'upper is not there either. I wanted a car I could buy and drive immediately. I actually had a lot of off forum advice from people like Lexx and in the end I made what I felt in my mind was the right decision taking all that into account (and those guys know I appreciated their input) - the Celica is very fast, solid, great bodywork, looks great, sounds great, nice interior for a '95 car, 4 seats ticked all the boxes that none of the 300zx's I looked at did so I bought it. They are also like the 300zx becoming a very rare car on the roads of the UK, only a handful for sale at the moment, so very happy with my purchase. I wasn't totally wedded to getting a 300zx and was always looking at other marques but am disappointed I didnt get one - that said I do like to try out different cars (last three have been a 350z, VX220 and an R33 Skyline) - like I say, I will get a 300zx one day, but it will be the right one.
