2.2 dci primera power loss

anyone had one or know about them, my dad has one and for a couple of weeks now on and off it would miss a little and car would shudder at about 2500-3000rpm, i suggested that it could me maf problem, today he was out and engine light came on and lost all power and limped home at 15mph as it would not accelerate at all

he did tell me he had cleaned his maf this morning so i reckon it could be what i suggested, anyone had or know of a problem like this

also anyone got an airflow meter near me he could try?

how much are they new if he has to buy one?

EML illuminated means a DTC will be stored. May be worth pulling the codes before buying any parts, just to be sure.

will i need to use a computer to do that or is there a way to do it manually, i disconnected the maf connector and took it for a drive and it drove better lol

OBDII so Datascan II for the 2.2 DCI.

I'd go for swapping the MAF then if you've not got the diagnostic kit to hand :D
