Hi Ive changed mine from KPH to MPH

I have the paper work with the KPH on the clock & taken a photo of the registed KPH.

When u do convert I assume the clock reads in miles & MPH!

Thats my understanding, didnt want to mess with the clocks readings!

Nor do i.ive just got to send miles of to agreed value insurance.but wasnt sure if this needs convertng.or not.

I believe the converter unit also converts the odometer, it certainly changed mine when it was fitted. I got a cert from Jeff to say the date it had been converted at and what the KM reading was before the conversion and what the mileage was after he had adjusted the clock.

The converter unit will change from the time it is fitted. So unless you do something at that time, it will have read km up to then and will record mph from then on. Some clocks can be adjusted to wind the km figure back to being the mph figure but I would only trust that if it came from a recognised trustworthy chap like Jeff TT who did my previous ones.

But if you don't clock it, your total will be a figure that was part km and part m.

If what you're saying is that you have Japanese clocks (without a converter so still reading kph) and the odometer is reading 091838 then that will be in km and that converts to 91838/1.609 as 57,078m

If you have Japanese clocks and fitted a converter from kph to mph at some time in the past, you need to know what the odometer read at the time you fitted the converter to be able to work out the mileage figure from 91383.
