Hi All

I got this from one of the sites I use

Hi Tony Bradley,

The BTST petition to the Government

is now LIVE!

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/70198?inf_contact_key=8c9d877f9f088e47b5228eeeec8e26599778a9ad8199a515ceff68d38d67a3a0

We need 100,000 signatures to get

this discussed in Parliament, so if

you agree, please also share this on

social media.

Fingers crossed...

Adam

What started this this petition was when Adam Blair saw an accident in the Gantry controlled camera section on the M1 when the speed limit changed by more that 10mph on 3 successive cameras and caused a number of minor rear end shunts.

I was thinking about this just other day when the limit dropped to 50 from 60 in two gantries about 300m apart, the 50 gantry had a camera on it, so within 300m you were expected to both take note and adjust your speed. Whilst you should be looking far enough ahead to see and take precaution, in the real world esp when it's busy and your changing lane etc it's both ill conceived and ill advised to be throwing in another hazard, it should at least be law that they shouldn't change and enforce on the same gantry.
