If you ever wondered how many ponies your car was putting out?, then here's the ideal opportunity to find out.

A friend of mine has organised a Charity Dyno Day at Tuning Developments Ltd in Warrington on the 19th Oct, which just happens to be the Sunday of the Blackpool Illuminations meet.

So the crack is its £40 for 3 dyno runs and you get a full printout for BHP etc.

There will also be a Pro Valleting company and a Hydro Dipping Company there too as well as a catering van.

10% of all the proceeds go to Manchesters Dogs Home.

I was invited initially so asked if more could attend and the answer was yes but we will be limited to numbers on the day.

So if you want to book a dyno session then let me know and ill sort it for you.

But either way its a good excuse for going to meet up and have a chin wag and see some other clubs cars too.

Or get your car cleaned or order some hydro dipped parts and help the wee doggies at the same time.

 

So im going to drive down from Blackpool on sunday morning, anyone fancy joining me ?????.

Well,that's a shame it's the day after the blackpool meet bud otherwise i would of been up for it, but we are staying Friday and Saturday night in blackpool and we need to be home Sunday:(

put me down for the dyno or a blown engine :D

You dont have to run on the dyno Andy just turn up on the day. Ill probably sort a convoy meeting point on the way down from blackpool.

I really don't expect my car will be ready for either event Ian, so will not commit to any.

 

Although i can drive it about, i avoid at all costs, as discussed i just want really it to get me to Shrewsbury when instructed.

Was hoping for a few more but hey ho, you are welcome to show up on the day regardless of booking in and if there is a slot on the dyno then happy days, if not then have your car valeted instead maybe. Its all for a good cause.

Ian, I'll share this on the 350z site as I think it's for a great cause :)

 

If I stay over in Blackpool on the Saturday I'll try and call into this event...don't know which Zed I'll be in yet so don't know if I'd try and get dyno'd...I will if I'm in the 350z as I suspect the last time I was on a rolling road the garage were being overly generous in their numbers (312hp) and interested to see what another companies readings show.

Well myself and princeking flew the 300zx flag today on the dyno. Lots of admiring looks and comments for our cars and had a great day.

And what were the results?

364.4 bhp for myself and a 366 for princeking.

Plus the manifold pressure graph showed it holding a steady 1 bar of boost right through the pull so pretty pleased with that. Time for a trip to Noz now but might get some 555 injectors first.

I was hoping for more but i have a zedworld chip and Jeff told me at the coventry meet it is rated at 370bhp so cant moan about 364
