I picked up a cheap runaround, Renault Megane Scenic while mine goes into the bodyshop and also can use it for tip runs, shopping etc.. i thought it would be cheap as chips to insure, how wrong was i lol

Its a T 1999 piece of poo, but because it has the word 'sport' in the name its a higher risk car  i said, what, higher risk then a 3 litre V6 sports car thats been imported? Go figure lol one company wanted nearly £480 TPFT, another £387 TPFT :whistling: I paid £255 for the zed last month.

Its bloody worthless, i only paid £300

So i managed to get a mirror policy for the no claims and insured the zed and the Megane, which worked out at £285 extra, still annoying, still a rip off in my eyes, but had no choice, already booked the ferry, airport parking with the new car and bodyshop booked for tomorrow for the zed.

I dont know how some people can insure 3 or more cars and be worth while, i dont get how they think lol

When I wrote off my first zed I had a like for like policy and the company offered my a Ford Ka. I told them that it was hardly equivalent to a 3ltr Twin Turbo and that I'd rather walk... True story..... :cowboy:

don't get me started on insurance companies I hate them all I do mean HATE

Well i hate this car even more now, ive just realised that my so called deal with the insurance company is worse than i first thought, for a year they want £567 for the scenic and thats with mirroring my no claims on both cars.

So as soon as i can im getting rid of this piece of poo. I can see now why youngsters drive without insurance, by a cheap banger and run it till they get caught, a huge saving

At 46 and full no claims i would expect about £180 not £567. The cheapest quote i saw online was £169, which is why i went ahead and bought it, but as per, you can never get the online price quoted, by the time they have assessed everything

When I had myGranada Cosworth in the body shop they gave me a KA. I drove down to work at Bristish Airways and pulled up at the gate. The security Guard who know me said what's THAT ? I told hime it was a courtesy car. He sid it was courtesy giving me a car like that !
