Does anyone know whether tyres can have exceptional wet grip AND exceptional dry grip, or are these characteristics mutually exclusive ?

Cool link craig, I love Toyo's(mainly cos they are cheepish), but it's good to see some actual comparison between other tyres and them fair very well, about second out of the 9 I think.

I've got Uniroyal Rainsport 1's on mine.

Found the grip amazing in both wet and dry, cheap too.

They also won some wet handling test autocar did recently, dunno what the competition was though!

I found the S02's to be brilliant in the wet and dry.

Thanks. My current tyres (Millenium Star) are crap in the wet, which is most days now ! They have hardly worn in a year, which may explain the crap grip.

I find I have to drive so carefully in the wet to stop the back end from skidding. Whether this is mainly a trye grip problem, or part of having a 280BHP rear wheel drive car I am not sure.
