I recently discovered that my Zed is still running the J-spec ECU so revs and top end are electronically limited. As such I can pull past 115mph (not that I ever would or do

Trying to find a replacement ECU is proving somewhat difficult and the aftermarket parts are crazy money imo.

I've contacted Whifbitz and Jim Wolf to ask for some advice. A mate advised me that I should also try you guys.

The car is a 1995 TT Auto. It's pretty standard except for an Apexi Exhaust and Apexi Induction Kit.

Are there any Welsh companies that can assist or should I order a Jim wolf ECU for $600 bucks?

Regards

Paul

Think I paid about £60 for a chip for my jap import. Quick (ish) swap over, job done.

EEEeeeekkk That's always a dangerous undertaking from Ebay... Do you recommend an Ebay seller with a trusted reputation?

If you do go this way you need to bare in mind that they can cause speedo issues and aren't very reliable.. A chip would be a much better but more expensive option

Wasn't eBay. Think it was from a trader that's not trading any more, 'Smithy's place' or something like that - someone on here may know more about it. I Just told him the mods I had and he sent a custom chip. I'm sure some fine tuning could be done but its a good start....
