that's about the best thing you can do to a golf I reckon, the engines are only held in with good luck to start with.

the only golf I like is the mk1 gti and the mrk 2 gti the rest are shite

My mates got 2 mk1s a mk4 r32 and his mrs a polo gti, bit fanatic that house hold. I've driven his mk1 and wasn't overly impressed with it, dreary fwd eurobox IMO and the r32 got beat by my other friends 1.8 swapped mk2 sirocco which I've raced in a stock auto zed with a dying torque converter and still beat it. We haven't had opportunity to race since, but I actually put the power to wheels now so its a pretty foregone conclusion, he is selling it for a transporter soon though.

the mrk 1 I a great little car you have to drive it like its 1980 as in was good at the time I have driven a dog as was crap but a good one was great. I like 80s ans 90s hot hatches I had a 205 gti 1.9 was a great handling car I always wants a r5 turbo I still have a eye on one still now just want one I know there crap but just some thing about them I like

seen this many times lol but i have to admit....i own a mk3 although its not a golf but a vento lol
