Hello guys, recently my zed fuel pump is buzzing noisily especially under throttle and the car stumbles at high rpm. This leads me to believe the pump is failing, I havea new Walbro 255lph pump and was wondering if it's just a straight replacement and if anyone has a guide to the process? Thanks for looking

Hi Luther the 255 pump you have is not the right one tbh its Lower in spec than the original oem fitted

but if you insist that you need to fit it

you will need to make some sort of new clamp for it as the pump is a lot smaller than original

other than that its easy to fit

Hi mark, yes I've heard the zed fuel pump is good for 700 hp and the walbro a lot less but I have the walbro pump just laying around and my car is only pushing 340bhp so it should be enough. So this clamp goes around the pump body to hold it to the pump assembly? Has anyone fitted a Walbro and if so, what did you use as the new clamp. Thanks in advance

well the way i do it is use the original clamp and use some Thick rubber tube or some kinda tube thats the same internal size as the 255 pump to make the clamping area thicker so you can fit using the original parts

all so dont forget to measure the drop depth for the pickup placement as you want it in the same place

nothing like running out of fuel with 1/4 fuel still in tank
