Hi,

My sister has a nissan micra. It went in for a service and ever since it came back it seems to lose power. I drove it today and it was quite dangerous. When driving just suddenly wont rev over 2000 and losses power almost instantly dropping the speed right down. This was very concerning to me as I was on the motorway and the max it would go is 20mph. Luckily I exited straight away. Seems strange that right after the service it has done this? Could they have done something?

Thanks

i forgot to mention that a red engine managment light also comes on when it loses power but then turns off when it seems to be alright.

red engine light so a cel light then. had this happen in a few cars when the engine cel light came on the car goes into a safe map so the power loss will be timing retarded and a rich fuel map happed my Porsche that a few times so you need to read the codes when the cel comes back on and see whats it says
