Hi folks, I am looking at possibly putting on a show which will be a mixture of the clubs i am part of. Will be a good mix of Jap, VW, Fords, Old School and American Muscle. Will be looking at holding it in the central belt and would be looking at around the end of May/start June. We are aiming for around 100+ cars.

Basically looking to see if any of you guys would be interested? let us know.

Cheers

Greig

I can invite the 350z-uk guys for you if you like.

It's a busy time of the year over there though as we have the Wales weekender last weekend of May, and LakeZ late June.

We are trying to gauge interest but at the same time need to move quickly to get it all sorted. 350z boys more than welcome.

The thing about starting a show, is you need to start small. Especially when you are looking at a less than central UK area.

It's also the wrong time of year to attract interest. Everyone is either in the cells after assaulting their boss at the office Christmas party, in bed for the 5th day in a row with a hangover, or in bed for the 6th day in a row with Tina from sales who they finally got the courage up to ask out after the 8th shot of tequila at the afore mentioned office party.

After January pay day is the time to start asking around and probably think about doing it on 2015 rather than 2014.

Just my thoughts mate, good look and I hope you put something together. I'll support it 100%

Hahaha, I see what you are saying. We have 2 locations options and both offer the option of doing something this year on a smaller scale. This will most likely be the way forward and then grow it for 2015.

I'd definitely be interested, what locations you looking at?

Count me in ! Non Z related tho. Humble farm truck owner.

Although I do have access to a Scottish forum that love their Yanks, Rods, Customs etc !

The main one we are looking at is Loch Lomond Shore, Massive tarmac area so rain, hail or snow it can go on ( most likely all in one day ). Got quite a bit interest from other clubs, got around 5-6 clubs interested in taking a stand. Want it to be more like a chilled out meet ( albeit on a much larger scale ).

Will be a mixed bag of cars for sure, think there is maybe 1-2 shows out doors in scotland these days ( that arent marque/era specific ).

That'd be quite good, only like 90 miles from me and it's certainly one of the nicer parts of the country. Hope you manage to make it happen!

Possibly not the ideal location for most, miles away for me also! But in many ways the ideal location. Will see what happens we do have an alternative site which may be more central.

Possible date and venue is Sunday June 29th @ Chatelherault country park! Will confirm 100% in the next day or so!

Thats not good! We have a few other shows on up this way and that was around the best date. Couldn't see anything else on that day!!

Interested in this as well, that's if I actually get round to putting the car on the road next year

Well venue is booked and artwork and promo material is in motion. Will update this week with more information

what other clubs you got interested? my car need to be back on the road in February so it will be back for anything we have planned next year

So far we have as follows:

Clan japan

Fiesta owners club

St owners club

Scottish scoobies

Ukmk3's

Border city VAG

Scottish VAG

300zx.co.uk ( hopefully )

Central cruise scotland

All the above have expressed an interest in a stand! There are a few others still to speak to and we haven't touched the American hotrods, old school etc!! Last year scottish vag had there own show there and had 200 cars! And that was only a 1/3 of the space available. Although only the first year we really believe we can get a massive turnout!

For traders etc me and my mate both work in the motor trade so hope to have a good selection of appropriate traders.
