I'm considering getting one of these and can find two models, the AC Delco ARW1201

and the Milwaukee M12
any one ever come across these or any other models?

Cheers

Nope, but surely with anything like that you need to go 18-24v for battery life?...

I think they do a 18v one but it's over £300. I really can't justify that on a wrench lol

Why not just use and 2 speed electric drill with an adjustable clutch ?

My first thought would be access, sometimes you don't have the space to get a drill in (plus the actual socket etc.)

I have a compressor but it's in my garage and I do all the work on my front drive (it's semi detached with a shared drive so a nightmare to get the car down).

Small compressors are no good for air guns and ratchets .. they dont flow the amount of air needed .. nor have the right size of tank to do it ..

been there done that :(

Use extension bars, they can just plug together. and then use the socket set.

A modern two speed drill on the slower speed with a totall adjustable clutch hasd phenominal torque...

no good when space is limited though

Get a longer extension bar from Halfrauds !

I've got a 24v Impact wrench that I find very useful for all sorts of stuff. It's great for doing up nuts that are hard to get at. Once done up then it's a lot easier to just torque them up with a normal TW. Due to the lower power it has compared to an air one and it's speed controllable via the trigger switch, it can be used safely on all sorts of jobs. A smaller hand held one would be great for fast removal etc..

That won't help when you can't get the drill in ;)

Have you got the details so I can have a look at them?

Vijay; This is what I've got mate ( sorry I got a couple of bits wrong, it's 24v not 18 and it's an impact wrench not a torque..oops..)

Mine was cheaper than that though and came with impact sockets as well. I've had it a few years now so they have probably upgraded it.

Ah, I'm deffo looking for a ratchet then not an impact wrench ;) I did look at those but it would be the same problem as about, no good if there's limited access :(

I want it to make life easier too! lol I just spent the last few weeks stripping everything off the underneath of my 4x4 to underseal it and I'm fed up of the grazed knuckles so just want to make life easier :)
