Evening troops,

Arriving at Euston Station mid Saturday afternoon, and need to get to Wembley Park.

The missus and I, have a hotel booked right next to Wembley Arena. See a gig on the Sat night,:punk:

and then the same journey in reverse on the Sunday.

Question is, and I am a stranger to public transport mind, whats best ?

Tube, Bus, Hop-on ticket thingy or this Oyster card thing ?

Due to work commitments its a flying visit, no time for any sightseeing unfortunately !

Cheers in advance team !

Oyster card if you plan on using public transport whilst you are there (buses, tube).

You will be able to buy one when you get to Euston Station.

Tube is easiest for that journey. Straight onto the Metropolitan Line at Euston, all the way to Wembley. No changes.

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

Metropolitan to Wembley Park doesn't go from Euston station, it goes from outside and down the road a bit at Euston Square. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/standard-tube-map.pdf TFL have a fairly good journey planner http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/14091.aspx but there is also a direct rail connection from Euston station itself to Wembley Central which is only a slightly longer walk It lloks like Chiltern Railways go to the Wembley Stadium station from Marylebone which is between Euston and Paddington.

That should get you there without running into a Wall. :) We're going too. Hope it's not raining. What block are you in?

Don't get confused, Wembley Arena is not the same as Wembley Stadium. Arena = indoor venue (aka for us oldies the Empire Pool, Wembley). Wembley Stadium is the one where they play football (allegedly). So don't go to the Arena on Saturday!

You made me go and check my ticket there !! Definately Wembley Stadium. Thanks for the advice Gio !

How spooky is this ?

Was just reading your reply and about to reply when the phone went, pre-recorded message from Ticketmaster, who we booked the tickets with.

My wife bought the tickets way back in December, and were Entrance D, Block 509, Row 27, Seat 275/6.

Just been informed that due to structure placement for the effects team, these are now limited viewing seats !!

We have to pick up a new pair of tickets on Saturday afternoon from the box office, under the Bobby Moore statue !! Same monetary value or upgrade !

Just makes it more exciting ! We went down to the M.E.N. Arena in 2011 to see it and it was fantastic ! I was there at Earls Court for the original in 1980 ! Showing my age now !

You're not the only one mate, I saw Floyd Animals tour at Empire Pool in 77 (I think - I was a student then so not exactly completely connected with reality all the time). We're on the south side of the stadium and the Bobby Moore statue is on the north side http://goo.gl/maps/La0kf http://goo.gl/maps/jceJu

If you get replacement tickets (hope they're good ones) and they're on the south, ping me a pm and maybe we can find some refreshment somewhere!

Cheers

Yei! I'm going aswell!!! Cant fookin wait.... Entrance K 502 ;-)

Glad to see a couple of others are going from here, going to be amazing, cant wait to hear my all time favourite 'Comfortably Numb' :-)

I also went in '77 but with my mum as I was only 3! Lol :-)

We're in 121. I'm just warming up before feeding kitties, wrapping up warm and heading to the train with a spot of Meddle and The Final Cut - oh, and a glass or two of Pedigree because I guess Wembley Stadium isn't crammed full of proper beer.

Have fun ladies and gentlemen - BBC website says it won't rain ...

It was, wasn't it. Great view from that sort of block. Also pleasantly surprised by the sound quality - managed to fill Wembley alright.

@steams - yep and with Wish You Were Here as encore.

Cheers

Nice.... I've only been to the Pulse concert and that was brilliant but would have loved to have seen the Floyd with Roger still there..
