flying out to pathos cyprus with the better half on wecnesday..anyone been n give any non tourist places to go

gonna get a 2seater quat n make our way to the vanition bridges but as a good map reader we can get lost..lol

the northern territories are an option but with the sh@t in syria the now really dont want to go theyr so any advice n links to off the touristy traks would be awsome

Our daughter lives in Paralimni just east of Famagusta, and when visiting we always head for the Trudos mountains, watched the World rally through go there once, the scenery is superb, my advise is to stay clear of Northern Cyprus in fact if your hiring any form of vehicle there will be insurance restrictions on crossing the border, super hot there at the moment according to the daughter.

I went there a few years ago. About this time of year. It was bloody hot :lol: go to the docks and rent a speedboat! Good fun :)

There,s a zoo advertised near peralimni which has good views of Famagusta , the ghost town that,s on the borderline between the two halves of Cyprus , we were told NOT to go the if your an animal lover cos it suposed to be bloody awful !

On the other hand it,s got great main roads and a drive up the Troodos Mountains is a must .

BTW Paphos is really nice , have a great time bud :pint::nana2:
