The dipstick can be fitted after but a bit of a pain, also one of the bell housing bolts go through the bracket on the dipstick and the main starter cable goes between the dipstick bracket good luck with that.

Jeff, hi. I have got the pipe fitted it just seemed to drop in.. probably the forerunner of those Japanese puzzles...

question. I see the bracket going to the bell housing bolt but what does the 2 square welded-on plates with holes in go/do

Don`t worry about the 2 square plates they were simply for for cable loom clips, most have already been snipped off now for the auto box loom.

Have you got the small 10 mm bolt in at the base of the dipstick yet and did the seal on the dipstick stay in place?

Jeff, hi , yeah I was wondering if those holes took cable ties for the loom, I still retained the small bolt, and the seal, haven't secured it yet as I'll do the bell housing bolt first tomorrow then seal and bolt it. Then its the oilway pipes, looms and then the Starter motor,

Cheers
