A few of the lads from 350z-uk are arranging a Scarborough meet for Sunday 25th August.

More details to follow, but basically sounds like a meet up around 1100, lunch, and some banter.

I shall be there, and so far about 5 x 350's.

This is basically another attempt from me to get an inter club meet somewhere in our region! If this clashes with any other shows, then tough

Cheers

Al

Well Its Bank Holiday Sunday. Scarborough might be a tad busy.

I will probably be quite close if all goes well as Im planning a day out to York Raceway for some 1/4 miles!

I could be up for it, can't say for sure until closer to the time tho.

Good to hear, mate. :)

Well I know some years ago when we had a mobile holiday home at Cayton Bay we always avoided going in to town on the Bank holiday due to no parking!! The kids used to moan as I drove all along the front looking for a space

Things may have changed now.

It'd be nice if they had changed... but I imagine they're probably even worse these days...!

Yeah, I know it's a bank holiday.

I'm not organising it though and I didn't set the date.

Just waiting to find out where we are meeting.

Is there many of you going to York pete?

Im usually the only 300 there. I am only just getting my car on the road this weekend so not been yet this year.

Its a bit rough n ready at the York Raceway. Its not very far from Elvington actually. But its run by a great bunch of people and they separate the RWYB cars into classes which means you always run against similar types of car. Im in class D which is RWD. Non Turbo. Over 2 litre. TTs run in a separate turbo class.. Every class comes out in turn and you park back in your own pit lane ready for the next run.

Launch area is similar to Elvington and the far end of the concrete is quite loose n rough.

Not a lot to see/do as a spectator IMO but I always enjoy the day.

Right...... This is where it is......

Google maps 'Shell Station, Old Malton Road, Staxton' Thats where it is

Coming from the west, follow the A64 from York right the way down and you'll come to a r'bout that left For Scarborough and right for Filey. It's about 150 metres before that next to the Shell station If you over shoot go round the r'bout and come back

If you come over the A614, then right onto the B1249 at Driffield and then down Staxton Hill it's turn right at the bottom and then your on A64 and you can see the Shell Station

If you're coming from the North, follow the A64 round Scarborough, and out, over a roundabout where Morrisone are, Over another and the you'll see the Shell station before you get to the next whre you'll turn right and it's about 150 meteres up on the left

If you're coming from the South, Hull, Bridlington etc follow the coast road. You'll be approaching Filey and and theres a roundabout just after a level crossing, go straight over that and then turn left about 200 yds after that towards A64 York. Follow it right the way along through two villages to the roundabout, turn left, and you're there. Observe the village speed limits because I've seen mobile speed traps there, even on a Sunday

If youre coming from the East you're lost..... you'll be in coming in from the North Sea !

Quite straightforward

It's on Sunday 25th Paul, not on bank holiday Monday

Oh yeah doh! Even so ill have just finished nights at 0700 Sunday morning so ill see how I feel.

Oops double post, stupid android (or user).

11:00 is early, but I should be game. anyone fancy a convoy? I think Nigel 300zcar may be out to play too.

I was expecting scarbrough sea front or there abouts, wasn't expecting a nice moor road trip, not sure I dare stiffen my suspension.

my suspensions getting fitted now hopefully it doesnt need any other fitments for the time being. whats it like fitted, worth it?

definitely, I had GAZ coilovers on before, and the difference is phenomenal, they are so much more comfy, and when they're stiffened up they are just as good as the GAZ's, (although I didn't play with the settings much because you had to jack it up) the only thing I don't like is that it's a bit of a pain to change the rears due to the top of the shock been hidden by the trim. but I've got a rear strut brace fitted so there's some holes I can fit my finger in. I wasn't quite sure how to set them up, you can adjust the length of the shock as well as the spring (and obviously the stiffness) took me a couple of goes to get it right, I still want to go lower at the front but my bumpers taken way to many whacks.

Where are you getting them fitted? are you getting them laser aligned or whatever?

getting them done at future racing developments on riverside ind estate in the boro. he's worked on a few zeds and does all my work 4me now. i've asked him to put it as low as possible (my front bumpers already hanging off so i'l take the risk). with mine being an swb theres abit of differance with the ride hieight i think but he should be able to even it out on the cambers hopefully. if it is sorted for the w'end a convoy sounds good (whitby rd?)

Whitby road would be out our way, judging by Tony's directions and google maps it'll be a Moore road job, should be a nice drive though.

I know of Tom at FRD a couple of my mates have had stuff done there, thought he was mainly a Honda guy like. The coilovers are a piece of piss to fit, but it's just trial and error setting them up. Wouldn't know about camber arms though.

aye tom likes his civics but he knows a couple of people with zeds so he's done quite abit of work on them inc manual conversions and engine rebuilds, i'l let u know what i'm doing once i know myself
