To cut a long story short I replaced my seized speed sensor a few years ago as pas and speedo stopped working but still didnt work? Now im trying to finally find out why. Its a 92 manual tt . The sensor unit I got from a breakers yard and the cog I got from the states which is blue in colour and has 18 teeth. The thing is I now have the gearbox out and have noticed when I turn the gearbox by hand the sensor doesnt turn? But is touching slightly as it has ware on the center of the blue cog as if its not quite big enough. I have checked the sensor with a drill drill running it and the speedo works fine. What cog should I have as somthing is not right. Or does anyone have a manual tt sensor with cog for sale? Any help would be great.

I cant remember which colour is which. But the N/A and TT cogs are different sizes. Fairly sure the NA cog was smaller and didnt touch when fitted in a TT gearbox.
