I have BMW x5 2005 which has the rear sunroof stuck open. i have been told i need a sunroof cartridge replaced has anyone got any knowledge of this and where i might get this part and where i might get one apart from paying massive main dealler prices.

I can confirm its a big job as the whole interior needs removing, but with a nice dry day and and a few lemonade breaks it is quite straight forward, have some pics on my home pc will add them here later. However before you get too previous have you checked out the sunroof power supply? and if you want to close it it can be done manually, the tool for this should be in your toll kit in the boot/ tailgate.

Thank you Jeff all advice an help is appreciated. Don't believe it's the power as everything else works apart from the rear panel. If u have got some pics it would be great.
