First issue with my new zed, luckily only minor, but annoying fault. I knew the glovebox was a bit iffy when I bought it, but it used to shut after a few goes. But now won't shut, no matter how often I try.

Any way the mechanism can be fixed, or do I need to replace the whole door?

Mine did this after I removed it for its retrim. Just give it a good slam or push it up hard pol

Nope, can anyone give me a clue on how to take the glovebox out. The catch doesn't seem to actually catch on anything. I can push it with a screwdriver till its proper closed but it just springs back.

If someone can tell me how to get the thing out that would be great so I can figure out what's going on.

Removal is very simple, take off the lower trim by removing the plastic poppers, then it's just a case of taking the bolts, screws out as the box sits in a steel frame, once you have the hinges unbolted the glove box just kinda lifts and twists out - it's not difficult

Lower trim in the footwell..long bit of plastic, just use a philips or a pen to pop the centre of the poppers and you should see two 10mm nuts..undo these and now inside the glove box is a screw to undo. it`s on the right, holds a lever to the box to prevent it form dropping too far. Return to the nut area, pull the box mounts off the studs and use common sense with regards wiggling the box free.
