Whats the best cutting compound to use on solid black paint,

I've used g3 and g6 but can't seem to even get swirl marks our with them I've also got some g4 will that be any better? Or is there any better products I should try?

I've been doing it by hand but might buy a buffer later

the Product you are using is one of the top brands m8 ... i think its down to your rotor speed and pads ... ..

g3 and 4 are the ones to use on mop ... g6 top wax should be done by hand

Cheers mate think I'm going to go n get a buffing machine later

Which should I use g4 or g4 which is the more course

g3 is more used for bad paint or peach effect .. g4 is a little nicer

just make sure your rotor head speed is Slow

Depends on how abrasive you want the compound mate.....

.....for light swirls I'd use something like Meguairs Ultimate Compound. It's not as harsh as G3 but still gives good results. G3 is superb on deeper scratches though - it's one of the best no doubt!
