Any ideas chaps?

Standard TT manual. Everytime i wash the motor i find a black gue\oil deposits all over the rear bumper. Like it has come out of the exhaust.

Any ideas?

Assuming yours is a UK TT you have an oil pump and diff oil cooler - Crawl under the off side rear and take a look up at the pipes. Mine had a leak from one of the oil cooler pipes onto the exhaust. The oil pump and cooler only comes on above a certain speed and temp. However these cars are getting on a bit and rubber hoses age and shrink or go brittle. Could explain oil spots on the rear end. Best to check before you empty your diff. That could be expensive. Mine needed half a litre to fill back up after I fixed the leaky pipe.

Just a thought

Doh

Just read your is an import - Sorry forget my ramblings about oil coolers but check your diff oil seals

Willie

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought this was a sign that the turbo seals were going.

You are all wrong LOL,Timmy Turbot had this problem it was his stock oil pressure sender unit.

300z is obsessed with turbo failure, guess one to many experiences :O)

I worry about my turbos at night even though they only have 45k on them,

What's the stock oil pressure sender unit and how much is it and what will happen if i leave it???

Thanks.

yup i am, but then i do have experience f the problem, and im just giving an opinion, 99% of everyone on here only listen to advise they want to hear anyway, so good luck lol, if you saw what my turbo failure did to my engine, i think youd also be a bit obsessed with them :(

Timmy had his rear bumper covered in a thin layer of oil,It was 100% the stock oil sender unit.

It is on the N/S of the engine, get your car on a lift and see if there is any traces of oil that is blowing underneath the car.

If that is the problem you will lose all your engine oil:(.

what exactly happened to your car? ive heard anything from its a metro to its on its 5th engines rebuild :)

Ah this must be coming from my power sterring which has a leak. Just didn't think it would make it's way onto the rear bumper!!! Thought it would be coming out of the exhaust.

Cheers Guys.
