iirc gearbox and diff oil are different. Redline MT90 for the gearbox oil is a good choice as it can help with synchros that are getting a bit stiff on gear change.

Someone will be along that can help better mate.

I am getting a whining noise in 2nd and 4th, you have to listen carefully to hear it at the moment, 2nd is louder than 4th. How many miles does a gearbox usually last after a whining noise is first heard?

Different oils for different jobs. Redline has a good reputation - MT-90 Gearbox Oil and 75W90 Differential Oil. Both are fully synthetic.

Also make sure your gear leaver dust boot is fully seated. It can become detached and allow gearbox noise into the cabin usually in 2nd and 4th.

Cheers, I will check my boot later as I have just reinstalled my interior after having it out over the winter for welding work. I am currently waiting on three maindealers to get back to me with part numbers for the correct oil.
