Well travelled over 130miles to do a bit of caravanning with partner and kids. I know it's freezing but couldn't change the date. We are staying at Haven and was wondering what is there to do with kids 3 and 5 yrs old whilst weather is poor.

I know some of you guys live down here so any ideas.

We used to go to mablethorpe when I was little. There were some great rock pools full of huge crabs n starfish! Not showing my age but we were there the year butlins burnt down!

I'm only in Lincoln but can't say I've been to magical mabo much, the only thing I can remember is the beach and outdoor pool which won't be very inticing this time of year lol. Butlins at Skegness is pretty good, and most of it is undercover. Or if you are into your history then Lincoln has plenty of it.

Cheers guys don't think I'll be outdoors frozen testicles comes to mind. Haven is actually quite good just undergone a refurb and a bit to do indoors. It has just had a overhaul of the pool area also. Might go to Lincoln for a day I went there for work one day near the Odeon on the canal side looked nice.

Went to Lincoln last year when my wife did a skydive. Really nice place. The castle is well worth a visit. Gota climb a big hill to get there though.

You make it sound like a fairy tale castle lol.. You can park up near it, but it's better to head up the hill by foot and check out the quaint shops and historic buildings on the way :)

We didn't realise you could park close to it until we got there. But like you said, nice shops along the way & tea rooms.
