That's a shame. I grew up reading James Herbert books. Much better than Enid blyton.

me too, loved The Rats, Magic Cottage etc..

the first ever book i read all the way through was the rats, it got me hooked on reading James Herbert. i ended up reading all 3 books, rats, lair and domain.

Also loved James Herbert "the dark" much better than Steven king.

When at school, we had to spend Friday afternoons in the library reading. One of my friends had read the Rats and had gone onto The Fog. We snuck these into the library and read them. The teacher wondered why we were so quiet and reading when we usually messed about and when he saw what we were reading left us alone saying that at least we were reading but dont show any other teacher...

I am half way through his latest book Ash which is classic James Herbert. I was really shocked when the wife told me last night, such a lose.

That's a shame. Fluke is one of my favourite books, along with Weaveworld by Clive Barker.
