think the 7" is around 180 ... 10" 250 b

but remember the samsung is more PC related u can do all most everything on it

I've got the old Kindle reader bud, if it's anything like that but with movies and games etc. It'll be great.

we have 2 laptops and 3 smartphones between us, dont really need anything more, but she does read a lot and for £159 i think it will be ok, just read a few things about them going off just after warranty and so forth?

My niece has a kindle fire hd, she got it the day it came out. It seems pretty good. Although she's had to take it back twice already because the sound just cuts out and won't come back. I would personally go for the nexus.

I would personally go for the nexus.

These are much better than the kindle hd fire Al. The bloke in PC World did a demonstration on the Nexus and kindle hd fire and I would deffo go for the nexus. You can download the kindle ap for the nexus too :)

what sort of price are the nexus, and what model is the equivilant to the kindle hd fire?

The Nexus was £180 mate in PC World. Well its £200 and you get a £20 cashback by redemption  which is a pain in the bum to wait for. (30 days)

Here is a link to the one I saw today.....very nice :)

From what I saw today, its brilliant! He did all voice activation things too like...'Nearest Italian restaurant' and within seconds it found one and you didnt have to type a thing!:thumbup1:

The kindle fire hd wont play YouTube videos or videos on websites say for example Yahoo etc........whereas there are no restrictions on the Nexus one.

hmmm, from reading all this it sounds like the Fire HD is nothing like as good as the original Kindle 3G. Think I'll pass..

I'm guna be gettin a nexus in the next few weeks because they are one of the best tabs around for the money, plus my fake ipod (which I'm using now) is just too big and heavy to carry around and use while I'm out. Even now, its makin my wrist ache just holdin it up and typing.

Cheers fellas up until today I was gonna buy my partner a fire hd but now I think I'll go for a nexus as they are the same price as the fire at carphone warehouse
