Normally Im the only bloke in my house but my grown up daughter Louise is back living with me and has "persuaded " me to say "yes " to an addition to the household:yes:

So here he is.......

His name is Kane and he is 7 years old.

Kane is an ex racing greyhound who has now retired after a long and hard racing career. We fetched him today from the Retired Greyhound Trust near Newark. In his career he was based at Nottingham dog racing track although like many racing hounds he was born and bred in Ireland

Now he is lying on my lounge carpet at the end of his first day in a house. Its difficult to say who is more worn out Louise and me or Kane.

Anyway here is a pic.

He is a very handsome boy indeed.

Although Kane hasnt been on this thread since Feb he is still here.

We recently took part in the Great British Greyhound Walk. The local Nottingham one was in Shipley Park, close to my home.

My eldest daughther bought him a sponsored bandama for the walk and decorated it as part of the fun

Kane has also been saving up his pocket money for being a good boy and treated himself to a new "house collar".

Its purple and gold and very bling!!!

Enjoy the pics..............................
