Is the newer SWB TT ABS actuator unit self bleeding?

It's completely different to the LWB ABS actuator unit, there are no bleed points on it?

I topped up the fluid last night, after 4 pumps of the pedal, the pedal go's from really soft - soft - hard'ish - hard (when the engine isn't running) as soon as the ignition is turned on the pedal go's really soft (air in the system)

What are the chances that the procedure is to bleed as per user manual but with engine running (but without bleeding the actuator unit as it self bleeds)??
