Hi everyone, its been a while since coming on here with a post i have mainly just popped in now and again to have a read due to my zed being problem free for so long.

Well that situation changed slightly yesterday...

I was at work the other night and a mate of mine came in and told me my car had a leak i didnt believe him as he is the type to mess around with your head like that.

When i finished work i did check as im paranoid about stuff like yhat but i couldnt see a leak. I drove home all was fine.

The next night i got too work again all fine i deciddd to give it s couple of revs in the car park and check the leak situation again. well.... The passenger side had spewed out lots of dirty water.. No oil just dirty water.

I couldnt do much about it so left it and done my shift.

Driving home the car started to overheat temp gauge flew up.

I put the car on axle stands and did s coolant change and flush and also took the coolant tank off and cleaned all the crap out of it as the water was like coffee. I then put everything back together and did a full top up with water and coolant 50/50 mix as i read on a website. Left the car running with all fans on highest heat setting and everything was fine car got up to temp and was cosy warm..

I drove my mate who helped me , home and came back home altogether about 3/4 mile trip and car was running fine.. In the car park outside my house i decided yo do the ol' rev trick and see if it leaked.

It leaked but not anywhere near as much sort of just fast drips like heavy rain.. But at least the watrr was clean... Is this a common issue is there something i could have done wrong? Anyone had this problem before? Im worried now everytime i want to go out in case it overheats again.

Thanks guys

Jon

Sorry yes that would help.. I believe the overfloe hole on the coolant tank

you may just have an air pocket due to the coolant change but to be safe you need to check further, fill it back up and keep an eye on it.

you should be able to get a test done for gas (Co2) in the coolant, this would be an indication that you have a blown head gasket.

it could also be that your rad is blocked or your water pump isn't working.

you really need a mechanic to take a look... but don't let them do any work just diagnose the problem.
