If you "forget" the connection on the laptop in question, then set whe wireless connection back up. It should ask you to sync the device with the router at some point - there will be a refresh button on the router to do this.

ย

This should then allow it to work - I guess its just the internet connection equivalent of "turn it off and back on again".

Hope this helps?

So turn on and off the wifi router . . ? The lap top is showing it sees the router network it just has limited access , sorry I'm not very PC literate

I'm at work so cant really get any screenshots of it for you, but basically, if you open your network centre on the laptop (it might be called something different depending what version of windows you are using), right click on your connection and there should be an option for "forget".

If you do this, then switch your router off, then back on again after a minute or two, the connection should reappear in your list. If you try to connect again as before, only this time you will need to put the WEP/WPA key back in (like you are setting up the connection for this first time... this key will be printed on the bottom of your router). Once you have entered the key, there should be a button on your router somewhere that looks like a TV Mast or Wireless signal - press this, then click connect on your laptop. It should then re-sync back up.

I can get screenshots for you when I get home if you need them
