after a frustrating night working on the lexus iv decided its time to invest in some new tools for working on the car probs gonna get the spanners mentioned in the other thread but can anyone recommend a decent socket set for not to much money? my draper set was good when i got it but getting a bit old now and starting to get a bit worn

I haven't had a problem with Clarke sockets from Machine Mart, they're pretty cheap and of decent quality.

ive had a small (and i mean small) magnussen tool kit, and its done pretty much every bloody job you can imaging on my zed. cheap but damn good.

That is a nice little bit of kit to use :yes:

Stanley stuff is great and is the largest tool maker in the world,they own Mac tools too which have the market share in the USA,the ratchets are fine tooth which makes them stronger and easy to use in tight spaces.Get 3/8 as half inch is overkill.I rarely use half inch on most truck jobs in my day job.
