I had a lucky escape today. I took the ZX into Aylesbury this morning (somewhere I avoid on Saturday as I work there during the week; LOL) and parked in Sainsburys car park whilst I did a bit of shopping.

 

I completely forgot that you have to buy a ticket to park there (but you do get the money back if you spend over a tenner in store) and just went in to buy some groceries. At the checkout, the lady asked me for my parking ticket - and the penny dropped. I didn't have one!!

 

As I walked back to the car, the warden was right behind it just about to punch my details into his maching. Apologising profusely, I explained that I had forgot I had to pay - but I had spent over a tenner as he could see by my bags. He said don't worry mate - as you have a nice car, I'll let you off!! He went on to say that he'd always liked Zondas and that if I could afford one, then a £60 ticket would not have been so bad.....

 

.....he couldn't believe it when I told him it was an 18 year old Nissan!!

Yup - the Z badge Gaz....

 

I have removed all the Nissan decals from my car so the warden just assumed Zonda from the Zs on the wheels.....:laugh:

 

Daft thing is, Zonda isn't even a make!! It's the name of a car made by Pagani; LOL....

Traffic wardens aren't all bad, i came across a few nice ones when i was delivering up town.

 

may just have been cos i was fluttering my eyes at them lol still it worked :)
