I need to know where my young daughter is from leaving home to getting back home as she's just come into "heat" and what she tells me is not all the truth:angry: she has a blackberry phone so is there anything out there that would tell me she's gone clothes shopping with her friends and not in the back row of the movies with a sticky fingerd scally plus it worries me when she's late getting in too.Neither me or my wife have blackberry's.

i know it seems over the top but unlike sons who you can give them the death grip around the wind pipe its a lot harder to keep an eye on daughters..thank fook this is the last coming up to leaving the nest in a few years.:thumbup1:

Don't know if you can do it on a Blackberry but Google friends app keeps track of all friends that enable it so you can keep track that way. Maybe buy her an Android phone as a pressie and enable it that way Google friends works with GPS and wifi and Google maps so you can get street view as well to see where she is

Basically it's google's linux based os for non apple smart phones.

You can track a blackberry phone but I think you need another blackberry to do it.

Android is the Google operating system for smart phones. Samsung galaxy series, Sony Xperia, HTC etc NOT apple I anything ! If you can afford to get get a Samsung Galaxy S3 she'd probably bite your hand off

Galaxy S3 would come loaded with a load of google apps anyway so there's no problem there. Only one problem..... you'd need one as well to track it using google friends !

Can you get any good deals on upgrades ?

thanks for the help guys...wheres my droid in stealth sounds good:shifty: and the one off vijay for the blackberry too.

Just don't let on to her at any time that you know where she's been etc cos then phone will just end up with a friend or switched off!! I'm a girl we know these things esp how to escape the watchful eye of a parent :) not that I was bad cos I wasn't I was an angel lol

FFS!! just lock her in the cupboard under the stairs and be done with it...

no can do....live in a bungalow:tongue:

I consider myself to be a pretty relaxed father, as far as I'm concerned as soon as my son is old enough, he can go live life and sew his oats like a paratrooper on R&R

and as soon as both of my daughters have finished their 40th year at the convent, then they're free to go and make their own descisions in life aswell....

Hi Mate,

Have a look at these. The apps above all track via GPS which is good as long as the mobile sees the sky, i.e. isnt in the handbag or the back row of the cinemas.

Satellite tracking is accurate to about 5 metres.

If the phone cannot see the sky, you can track the sim through triangulation. Accuracy significantly reduces but is enough to see roughly where the person is. If I remember correctly within 50 metres in built up areas.. The advantage as well is you dont need to put any software on her phone or enable the gps etc..

there are others but you want something you pay for when you use it like chillocate....

What age is your daughter Brian? My youngest is 18 and Abbie is 21 and you just have to trust them mate they will make mistakes but you cant wrap them in cotten wool forever. I worry when Eve the youngest goes out but she has a boyfriend and he is a great lad and I like him but I still ask "where are you going" and "what time will you be back" and if she is late I am straight on the phone lol. But they are free to live there lives with out to much interference from me,well maybe a little guidance.
