The banger that we had is a lexus ls400 v8 4.0 luckily enough it has been fitted with lpg so thumbs up there

anyone travelled around this route know if there are a few lpg stations about,

found out we cannot take lpg on the euro tunnel only on the ferry

quick question about the lexus.....

The cambelt was done at 69k the millage is 140k now lexus say the cambelt is 100k but only in the uk its 60k this is a very expensive job to do not sure if its worth doing as a snapper is unheard also were out of the uk LOL!!

plugs may be worth doing and maybe even the ht leads and the disks require skimming or replacing, also an oil change and all filters require doing

would you guys do the camblet?

Ha Ha im sure it would add to the suspense, something more were not sure of is where the lpg garages are about europe on our trip a on petrol in the lexus we wont get very far with our 4.0l being very thirsty lol

dont do the cambelt, it adds to the fun and suspense of a banger rally trust me!

LOL - I wouldn't have it done either....

....not for the suspense element, but the 60k limit (or 100k overseas - which might actually be kms not miles; 100k kms = 62.5k miles remember) is always going to be on the cautious side! Chances are it will soldier on long past 60k without snapping.

So as you've bought it just to do a banger run, why spend the money? Just take the chance - if it fails you're out of the running, if it doesn't you've saved yourself some cash and had fun into the bargain!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I`m sure there will be a phone app or a google map of garages that sell LPG on your route :), I downloaded a fab NCP app for my phone whilst in London this week, it worked great!!!
