Don't know if it's a repost but saw this today, its a British guy just lapped the ring in 7:10 on a modified r1 here's a link to the story and the on board video of him doing the lap all I can say is the guy must have a screw loose

Shame its not official though as he did it in the public sessions, so its not a full lap, its about a mile shorter. Its the 3rd time he has broken the bike record on the track over the years.
