hi all looking for some info on what i need, i've just bought a artigo a100 mini pc to use in the zed as the base for my carputer, also got the screen etc but i know the artigo has a dc to dc psu built in but i dont think this will suitable for use in car to protect from charges surges etc (correct me if i'm wrong) but being a pico itx board it only uses a 12 pin power connector and all the in car psu's i'm finding are 20/24 pin any ideas out there?

Is there a Carputer specific forum on the net that might be able to answer your question better/faster?

Im using a Dell mini PC, with normal plug on a 500w power inverter.

is this any good to you though?

well the dc to dc board says it supports 12v to 32v input so guess should be ok, psu you indiscated is a 20pin so not suitable cant seem to find anything 12pin out there, would love to have system auto shutdown but finding a suitable psu is a nightmare
