Early Hot Hatches

Have you seen the prices recently of the Renault 5 gt, Astra GTE, Nova Gte etc etc

 

I think that they are so old now they are cool. I would love to own this insted of my 206gti and its fas as hell

    I always wanted the Astra GTE. They did an 8 and 16 valve version. My mate had the 16 valve one and I was well jealous!

     

    Saw a convertible GTE yesterday when dropping off the TT. Looks like its given up its Redtop to some Corsa no doubt :(

    I had a White GTE Astra E411 MJX, one of the best cars I ever owned, I still remember the day I sold it, cannot think of one fault it had, just had to move on, it caused me no bother in my ownership :biggrin:

    prices on all cool classic cars have shot up, I need to find myself a 240z or 260z before they are all stupid money!

    Where are the mk1 golfs then? I had a 81GTI with a turbo conversion by Gordon Leeming in the NE it was e real goer but being a front wheel drive, even with wide wheels it was impossible not to spin the wheels on take off.
