Ok, I bought and fitted a new front lower ball joint but there is a conical insert on my old ball joint that does not appear on my new ball joint.

Is this meant to unscrew from the old ball joint and fit to the new one? To say that I'm confused is an understatement

Pictured - new ball joint (with dust cover removed) fitted to lower arm and old ball joint with tapered inser/spacer.

Hopefully somebody knows what's going on - Andy

I've answered my own question, the part is shown seperate on the EPC - I'll get some heat on it tomorrow and then :smash: :smash: :smash:

yeah that bit of tapered metal should just pop off and then you stick it back on the new one after you have put the rubber back on.

If you throw your old one at the floor hard it should pop off. its what i did
