Hi Peeps,

I'm thinking of grabbing a week or two in the Med or Spain/Canary Islands in late April/early May and wanted some advice.

I'm going on my own (first time ever but just need a break!) and was thinking about just getting a flight and then booking into the first hotel I see for one night and then scouting around for somewhere nice.

Anyone ever done this?

Cheers in advance,

Andy

if you're going on your own then do it!

I've never done it, but have always wanted to.

No idea why, just seems like a cool thing to do. lol

if you do it, just make sure you get an early flight so you have enough time to find a hotel though ;)

Not sure what its like in europe but that's what I do when ever I got to thailand to vist my uncle. Nothing better than flying into a country with no idea where you will be sleeping that night

Hmmmmm......

Some interesting views there!

I feel an adventure coming on. Just waiting for my passport now!!

First two weeks in May - I'm off!!

I've never booked a package holiday. Total rip off.

We normally shop about for cheap flights, get them booked then worry about the hotel. As above though, i've never waited til i was actually there lol.

Try late rooms or priceline, there are always good deals to be had.

When you have decided on a location, look on Tripadvisor. The site rates hotels in all price ranges and can help you pick a good one.
