Deffo a con, send him a right old dirty, offensive email !! Bet he wont reply ?

If it was genuine, he will and ask what you are all about ?

Ignore it mate, its a con !! Send every piece of crap you can find to his email addy !

Alan..........

I had virtually the same email when we were selling our horse. Agreed price without even looking and were gonna send an agent and a box that weekend. Once I questioned them I never heard from them again

Told him to go through ebay and now he wants my PayPal email to transfer the funds hmmmmm

NOBODY !! And I repeat, Nobody transfers funds on this basis !!

Report this guy on your Ebay account straight away ! Ask for his Paypal and you will deposit the cash, see what happens ??

Walk away mate.

I'm not sure what he's hoping to gain out of me but I'd say your spot on ill just ignore him, why can't selling things just be simple!!! Lol

Oh yes! I remember now. They insisted on using PayPal even tho I wasn't on eBay. Said I had to open an account if I didnt have one as it was safer. Wouldn't pay cash. Not that I would have let them get anywhere near anyway

You will get an email supposedly from Paypal, you enter your login details on his fake site then your card gets raped. Tell him to F off, block his email address then report to eBay. Does he even have feedback for anything worthwhile?

If he sends you the funds, which you then transfer to your account, and then release the car I cannot see an issue with it?

Won't happen, I had this loads of times when I sold my last car and have heard it numerous other times from others, same story, same fake paypal site, it's a con, nothing more than a scumbag with a computer trying to rip unsuspecting people off :xxx:

Yeah, who seriously would pay 5k for a car they had never seen lol

never knew about fake paypal sites, definately avoid it then lol.

You gotta provide details to pay the cash in ?? RRRRRRipped offff !!

Alan.........

mate seen this no end on ebay, its a scam through and through, the wording, the fact hes not in the country, the fact he wont go through ebay, its screaming scam.

Its one of the reasons you will read "No over sea's bidders" also never click a link to paypal, always go to paypal via your own bookmark, or type it into the address bar.

Neither did I mate and tbh I may well have fallen for that one because I do tend to just click on the email link from Paypal.... Won't be doing that anymore!! So thanks everyone, you guys could well of saved me a fortune :thumbup:

I've sold a couple of cars to overseas people, one sweden and one belgium, they sent deposits and came to collect the car in person both times and paid cash. So dont rule that out if you get offered it :)

it happened to a mate of mine. they got nothing money wise but it stops your car being sold . we came to conclusion he had same car and wanted to push other sales off the board.

E Bay is rife with Nigerian scammers,my mate had an i phone 4s for sale and a guy "bought" it.sent false paypal payment e mails saying the money was paid.when he checked his account no money had gone in.Sold it a second time and guess what ? same thing, buyer sent fake paypal e mails stating that once the item is sent the money will then show in his account and that is was a new anti fraud paypal incentive. He even after nnot sending the phone got a fake email from the president of paypal !! its hilarious the levels these people go to.
