Make sure that the cancel button isn't stuck down/on. Mine sticks sometimes. Sounds like it'll be the cancel circuit. Did it ever work?

hi Rob

The cruise controls never worked since i had the car, will i have to take the centre cover off the steering wheel to check if the button is stuck down and if so is it difficult to take off.

cheers

mines exactly the same, i checked my switches they are ok, i reckon its the kill switches, am i right in thinking they are behind the dash? if i cant be arsed taking it appart to get to them.

It might be an idea to do a search on "cruise control". There are some posts in the past that have mentioned pipework to check for and a crusie control actuator. I could be talking out of my arse, but I'm sure I remember it working on air pressure or something.

Good luck,

Vijay

The cancel buttons on the pedals! The springs go week with time & need 1/2 a turn on the plastic plunger every year or so. Mine now need doing again - but its a hell of a job getting me, the torch, two spanners, both arms & eyes to the pedals!!!

All thanks to Andy Duff at the 2001 April meet - very knowledgable chap wink.gif

It's not an import/speed convertor related problem is it?

I think on mine I couldn't set it above about 70 and not less than 40 ish. which is a waste of time

Can't remember cos i've been on the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers
