As per title really.

I keep losing the signal from the satellite to the TV. Getting error number like 14, 25 and 29. I recently moved all the living room round and did the cabling so that the box was in a different place and it has been fine but recently it just loses the signal. At the moment the sky box is now on the floor! When I put it back in the TV cabinet it loses signal again! :( Any ideas guys?

Cheers

have you checked the dish wires going into the screw in end caps, mine had a problem of falling out of this. failing that, you could try a system update but only if you can hold signal long enough

1. Turn Off Your Box At The WALL

2. Hold The BACKUP Button Down On Your SkyBox

3. Continue To Hold The BACKUP Button In And Turn It On At The Wall

4. When A Message Appears On Screen UPDATING SYSTEM SOFTWARE And The Lights Light Up On The Box, Release The BACKUP Button

5. Wait Until The SkyBox Goes Into Standby

If you can get a steady signal with the box somewhere other than the cabinet, do the update there, you do not want to be doing a update and losing the signal. so if you worry about that, do not bother.

Thanks mate i'll give it a go on the update.

About the wires falling out of the back, at the moment that seems to be the problem as if I move them about the signal comes and goes but its strange that after all these months of being fine, it just went wierd when I hadnt moved the box for ages!

ghost? lol

Naa on a serious note, unscrew the dish wires from the back of the box and check to see if they are indeed working there way loose from the end connectors.
