As some of you know on Sunday I was banned for life from zxclub which is run by Hollowpoint, Sexycrayola and Tonyb.

To say that I am angry about how I was banned would be an understatment as I am livid at my treatment.

I would like to take this opportunity to clear my name as I feel my reputation in the 300zx scene has been damaged by these three people.

 

Back in November it was asked by ZX-TT (Craig) about the opportunity to have joint meets with zxclub I said that I would see how the new club performed and in PM's I gave Craig my username and said I would log on to the new site and make a report but it would be a decision ultimately for the committee here.

Christmas and the New Year came and went and after watching all the difficulties within the zxclub I made my report which said that Alex and Rose had did a great job designing the new site and congratulated them on it but there managment skill's were lacking.(I based this on the way they talk to people and treat members who see things different and the way they keep changing there managment structure and going against there own rules)

I aso said the post by there Chairman (Tonyb) saying all moderators from here .co.uk should be banned from the new club was wrong.

So I wished them all the best in the future but at this point in time I could not see advertising events on each other's sites would be happening.

 

My thread was then removed so I asked were it had gone and was told by Rose to shut up and let them examine it and maybe it would be put up again!

 

So after a while my thread was put in a section called "Abuse from .co.uk" I then got a post from Hollowpoint where I was sworen at and told I was getting a permanent ban.

 

I concider myself to be a great fan of the 300zx and my reputation on the 300zx scene is important to me so to be invited to come into a new club and then they ban you is just a bloody joke. I know a lot of members here are also members with zxclub and I have no difficulites with that I also have no difficulites with Hollowpoint, Sexycrayola and Tonyb being members here they are not banned and will be not banned for there treatment of me as they have not broken any of our rules but I would also like to point out that when you do break the rules you get a 7 day ban and come back not a lifetime ban which I have been given by them.

 

So to sum up I am not very happy and wish all members here to know how I feel and I would encourage feed back from you to see if I have got this whole situation wrong or have I been shafted:mad2:

I dont really know the ins and out. Speaking as someone who aint involved and has no interest in being involved, all the bickering is a bit boring/annoying.

 

There are as many bickering posts as their are 300zx related posts. Move on guys, or pick up the phone and sort it out.

 

Dont want to bicker just want answers for my own peace of mind.

surely moderation is an essential part of forum life! as is policeing in 'real' life. your never going to please everybody, but without moderation sites like this can spiral into anarchy, with people feeling treatened and uneasy. making their time on the forum not an enjoyable one.

look to the future

Just because you all own the same Car does not mean that you will all get along or have the same Opinion or belief. We get criticised on here for over Moderation etc, but as an Official Club the Committee and Moderators have to take whatever steps necessary to keep the club running smoothly and harmoniously. No one person on the Committee or Moderation team takes a sole decision to Ban or chastise a member without it being discussed or voted on accordingly. I'm so pleased that our special relationship with ZClub is back and here to stay. but I can never ever see such a relationship happening between us and ZXClub. this is down to the fact that, the sight was set up (Originally) so that Disgruntled members from here that did not agree nor like the way this club is run or Moderated could have their own way and Say or post whatever they like without being chastised for it. this occasionally turns into a lets slag .co.uk fest, which we are fine with, if not then we would have removed the main offenders from this club. alas...though under a new name and management that site seems to continue to be run in the same fashion, with a continued dislike for our committee and Moderators , and the way our Club is run. well if that helps you sleep better at night then hey ho. The committee do not want to see this thread turn into a Slanging contest between .co.uk Vs ZxClub. if it goes that way, then Gaz with remove the Thread himself. Gaz felt Angry for the way he had been treated and wanted to post his side of the story which is fine, and I hope the People in charge of ZXClub do Gaz the same courtesy in responding in a calm and responsible way.

Hi Sandy I am normaly a very calm person but I dont like what they have done and it leaves a bitter tast in my mouth.

As Chairman of zxclub can you explain why I got a lifetime ban after being invited into the club and why I was sworen at by Hollowpoint when giving the ban please.

I actually have to disagree with you on that point garry, they have Broken the rules of this club laid out by our AUP, especially with the posts on Outlawjap club coming to light, but the biggest difference is they are still welcome here and not banned, hence the not over moderation like some people seem to think..

 

The biggest problem is there is a slight bad taste in the air due to you having to recently ban hollowpoint, Plus with Sexycrayola also receiving a ban sometime ago.

 

One of the reasons ive not signed up to zxclub is because no matter what i say if i have a different opinion on something it will always been seen as me "having a dig" because i am a moderator on here, So i choose not to bother with it to save all the head ache as i have enough on my plate as it is.

 

Unfortunately things like this will cause further segregation with in the zed community amongst a few people, this unfortunately is going to be the inevitable out come due to a lot of our banned members also being members on zxclub.

 

As a last thought though, Our AUP has been in place a long time, when you become a mod team member here we agree to uphold that AUP, like wise when someone signs up to the site they agree to abide by the same AUP, some people do not like it but its constant and every one including my self have to adhere to it, hell ive had to moderate one of my own forsale posts as id become a regi yet stayed red so hadnt even noticed so had to pull my own thread, how ironic lol

 

But i will say one thing, we do not over moderate like some people like to assume, ive been on the aus300zx site that bans members for all sorts of reasons and when threads pop up asking why, those asking have also received a ban.

 

Like wise with a few of the gaming sites ive been on, moderation takes a heavy hand with people being banned for not liking the admins in game or the moderation staff of the actual website.

 

We are actually quite relaxed in how we moderate, hell im still yet to issue my first ban and ive been a mod since 2010.

Hi there peeps as some of you know I am on both sites and I have been watching all this tit for tat bickering,between everyone .I am not partial to all of the behind the scene info and what will be will be.Thats just life.we all have to pick up the pieces,and get on with it,

Like I have said on ZXclub I am Tazz666 on both sites I use both sites and I enjoy both sites I dont really care about the personal clashes that have happened as It doesnt involve me I dont care I love my zed and i enjoy both sites and I hope bridges can be rebuilt

This is the only 300zx site i am on.

I was invited to join the other site, but as yet, haven't.

 

I haven't been on there, so dont know what goes on, but i assume most join a forum for help an advice about the cars, which this site does perfectly.

I know the forum is a club, and goes more than just the cars, but surely to not fit in, has nothing to do with the car, therefore, its not a car club your after, just a social one.

Utter tripe. If I explain why you got banned, I'll get banned from here, simple as that.

 

But I'll tell you what, I'll take the same stance you always take, you were banned because you broke the rules, repeatedly. You were warned, you broke them again, you were warned again, you broke them again. Then I had an inbox full of requests to ban you from registered members, so I did. If people want the fine details, they'll have to go read what happened, it's all still available, as promised, just moved out of the way of those members, who got sick and tired of reading it all and wanted to get on with their day. Unfortunately, I can't say more here, because I will end up on ban number 3.

 

The one last thing I will point out is this, you're all very quick to jump on the fact I slagged this site off when I got banned and thought it was unfair........shoe is on the other foot now isn't it? Wonder how long this post lasts, no swearing, perfectly polite, nothing but the truth, I'll count in seconds......

Well dropping the attitude and sarkyness would be a good place to start. no need for it imo.
