Website security questions

Does anybody else find these website security type questions a PITA?

Im talking about the ones where you have to type in 2 words with one being a made up word with maybe a comma at the end. Then half the letters are in negative format i struggle to read them sometimes lol and have to refresh a few times to get one i can read.

I just unsubscribed from a newsletter and it made me do one what a PITA

your on about the captua things, hate the bloody thing, always gives me some keystrokes i dont even have on my keyboard unless i install other language packs. just refresh it till it gets the idea that your half blind. it gives you easy ones eventually lol

They're one of the only ways to reliably stop web robots from simply inputting data into the form, unfortunately even these are now being got around by robots that can read them and understand them, it's ridiculous. Other methods can involve asking a question instead, but then that question has to be crappy enough that EVERYONE is going to know the answer. The 350 forum for example, asks what the exact cc is of the 350z, like I know that!?!?! Sure I can go google it, but that's a PITA, more so than using the Captcha apps. Plus, if the web developer has any common sense, they tend to use the better Captchas, some of which (The one I use) actually has audio files too, so you can get it to speak the code to you to enter if you can't read it.

I thought it was only me that couldn't read the bl00dy things.
