Could somebody tell me what this wing is (99 spec etc) as I haven't got a clue, it was on the shortie' when I bought it

I've got a URAS wing going on tomorrow so ideally I need to know what this one is so that I can figure out what it's worth and then sell it

many thanks in advance ****Wing now sold****

not the best angle but you should be able to make it out

Very nice wheels dude

Thanks, they're actually en-route to Germany as of this morning.....I traded them for a set of 18" Volks

Got a pic of them on the car yet?

It's also known as the 94+ spoiler, not as popular as the '89 or '99 spec.

Id disagree with that as i know people that prefer it over the 89 spoiler hence why i said it is sometimes sort after

I haven't got a pic of the Volks on the zed yet as they're still in Germany, though I've seen them on the guys GTS-t and they're mint

the thing is I've got this thing about vintage JDM Volk Racing Cv-Pro's

I've just sold a set of black/chrome 18" CV-Pros to Harby

I've still got a set of lightweight 1 piece 18" CV-Pros that I'm using as track rims, and the other month I managed to scrounge (and have repaired) a pair of 3 piece 18" CV-Pro's with a really good offset, so one of these is going to be 'the spare' and the other one is going to be 'the spare, spare'

the great thing is that the two repaired rims are exactly the same titanium/chrome (deep dish) as the set of four that I've got coming from Germany and they are light as hell

I'll get some pics up once the zed's sorted

Looks like you've got a buyer ^^^ :thumbup1:

Its also known as the horseshoe spoiler.. or horseshit if you dont like it.... :sweatdrop:

aye i'll have it

Sweet...that's £1,000,000 paid as a gift into my Paypal account please bud

make me an offer mate

  • Author
let's see that URAS one on then :)

It'll be fitted by close of play today mate, but I'm gonna' wait for the paint to dry on certain bits and for other body bits to arrive (vented fenders etc) before I start taking full frame pics as it wouldn't look right. The majority of the bodywork will definately be done within the week (or the next few days at the rate that I'm going).

I've managed to do more on the shortie' in 4 days than I did on the LWB in a year.

Here are a few quick pics from last night, all being painted satin black

and I changed my mind, the carbon fibre is fitted now

IMG-20120125-00607.jpg

and just got a small amount of fabrication to sort with the cage (being a LWB cage the rear arms need to be cut down a few inches that's all) so all really simple stuff

I'm just literally about to go and mount the Sparco (now that I've sorted the seat frame) using OMP rails on the drivers side and Bride rails on the passenger side

I've got that really good feeling back with this SWB

  • Author
looking forward to this build :cool3:

I've given myself a good starting point with this one as it was a sound motor in the first place, as it hadn't been arse raped by Tzech, thus isn't doomed from the off like the LWB

I don't think it'll be to a lot of peoples taste mind you, but it will be a good advertising board for my other 'project' and company

I think we have totally differant tastes. but i always look forwad to a good project.

Im not keen on metal spoilers like on the RX7. i would pick something else but i also still think it works with the car

30 second reply that aint bad :)

20 seconds of that to find the smiley

You are quite entitled to your own opinion but with my car being a 94 and I have the 'table top' spoiler, well.....I quite like it and I certainly wouldn't change it for one that shouldn't be on that age or series of car!!!!

Now here have a

pics?

not yet, a few more days and most of the body work will have been painted and fitted by then, but here's an update on the front bumper, and the seat is in now

I painted one of the skirts satin black last night, the other is a job for later on tonight

the wing mirrors are spot on and really work with the lines rather than against them

and I'm working on the main decal/graphics designs now, and have 4 decals being shipped from the US now

Once the vented fenders have arrived and have been painted and fitted, I'll start a build thread

Progress is fast and I'm loving every minute of this one

Oh yeah, and my Sparco lid turned up in the post today....good times! :punk:
